Very nice start! Are you making that up as you go or do you have plans?
Where do you get the foam?

wow looks great, im thinking of trying some thing like that, maybe a bluecore cub.
flyinghigh, you can get fanfold, aka bluecore at most hardware stores like lowes or home depot.

I do not have plans. I am making it up as I go and using my balsa extra 260 as a model. Balance and weight seem fine so far. Almost finished with wings(40"WS). Have some more pics soon.

Nice looking so far. Keep the pics coming. Are you putting a wing tube sleeve in the fuse and wing halves?

Like I said I have no plans so I'm kinda flyin by the seat of my pants. Unfortunately there will be no sleeve in this one(only spar) but maybe in a later revision. The wing wil not be removable in this one. Kinda bites but oh well. For a first scrachbuilt with no plans if it flies and stays together i'll be happy!

not exactly sure where cg is but i'll go slightly noseheavy to start and go from there. With the battery like it is in pics it still a little noseheavy but ok for starts. Wont add any lead. all battery balance

Thats a Richmodel Extra 260 I found on internet. Paid a little less after shipping than I would have paid for comparable e-flite model at lhs w/o shipping. I like it a lot and it is quite a step up from cub. a lot more neutral feeling. I increased w/s to 40" from 36" on my balsa extra.

She flies beautifully! No trim at all needed. See where the battery ended up to balance. Awesome. I'm all smiles tonight. Spins, rolls, whatever and more controls to tweak yet.
