I am always looking for more detailed wind speed forecasts as well. Our local astronomy club has a website cloud cover and humidity but alos includes a forecast for wind speed for the upcoming 2 days. You local club may have one as well. www.cleardarksky.com/c/Prince_Georgekey.htmlI also utilize the the university where I work as it has a wether station on the roof that updates wind speed and direction every 10 minutes. It is also a lot closer to the field where I fly. Here is an example of it weather.unbc.ca/wx/data-table.html

Intellicast.com has windcasts, radar and all the usual. I've used them for years and have found their forecasts to be pretty reliable. USairnet.com is also pretty good.
