I did it , I did it , I did it .
Please excuse the shouting but I'm a happy camper ha ha . ;D
Well after 5 months waiting I got up early this morning and low and behold the wind was almost dead calm & it was NOT raining. ;D
SO off to the pasture we go , put plane togeather , what wind there was , was not in the ideal direction ( had to walk way out in the field & I don't walk to far , car cash a few years back ) But we made it ,do my last min check , do my range check ( even rembembered to put up TX antenna ( won't have to do that with new TX ha ha ) So with knees knocking we gave it WOT and a toss into the wind , well was a bit shakey right at first , over controling ,but said to my self "self "settle down quit over controling so we did ha ha . We made three circles around the field , So thought Ok now you have kept it in the air can you get it back on the ground with out totaly destroying it ? So brought it around into the wind chopped a little throttle , nose came down a little and we glided in , about a foot or less off the ground we shut it down & it droped in as nice as you please , It nosed over but I knew that it would given the ground condition , only had to walk about 10 paces , picked it up NO damage not even broken prop. Oh what a great feeling I FLEW THE PLANE
WOW. ;D ;D ;D
I Am now a firm beliver in the Simulator , in looking back on my short but successful flight I see times , had I not flowen on the simulator , the plane with out a doute would have CHASHED. ;D
