I would like to get a stryker build going again and was wondering if there was any interest out there. It costs 20 bucks to start. Most LHS's can order you one or horizon carries them. I will to a step by step if anyone wants to build one with me. I am shooting to break the current record with this one. I intend on shaving it as thin as possible and using A123 cells spread throughout the fuse. I have 20 A123 cells sitting here loosely waiting for something to do so here it is. I am thinking about getting a few more for this one. I want to run 12s2p so I will need 24 cells to complete. I may only run 10s2p depending on room. Weight is not an issue as these things fly heavy no matter what. I was amazed how easy my last one launched with it weighing in at 47ozs...no problem.

Well to be completely honest....this plane is as easy or easier to fly than the cub. It will fly pretty slow too. On the other end of things it will fly fater than you can see if you want too.

Stryker Build Material List 1. Stock Fuselage (PKZ1267) 2. Vertical fin hold down pieces from stock stryker (PKZ1221) 3. Stock vertical fins (or make your own out of lite ply) (PKZ1220) 4. Stock motor mount (or make your own out of ply) (PKZ4234) 5. Stock Hatch set (PKZ4213) 6. 6- 2 foot pieces of .100“-.140” Carbon Fiber rod ( I prefer .140” hollow rod) 7. 070” Carbon Fiber rod (for making pushrods) only need about 6 inches of it 8. 30 Minute Epoxy 9. 5/16 x 5/16 square basswood 3 foot piece 10. 1/32 plywood (walnut or birch) 11. 1” robart 332 control horns 12. (4) 2-56 brass threaded couplers (S513 Sullivan stock number) 13. (4) 2-56 Gold-n-clevis (S525 Sullivan stock number) 14. Hinges (your preference) I like CA Hinges best 15. Sharp hobby knife blades. You will use about 3 or 4 easy. 16. Any decals or graphics or paint needed to finish it. 17. 3M Extreme Tape
Well here is a list of stuff needed to get the fuse done. The electronics list will be of your choice. I will make a list of suggestions but what you all want may be different. Do you want a climbing animal? A nice and easy light weight flyer? Speed demon? All depends on you. Keep in mind these planes can glide for a long way if kept light. A long flight time can be had if you enjoy lolly gaging around.

SCC, let us know when you have your fuse. 3 of us for now is fine I guess....why not? I started shaving my fuse to get it thinner before I get started. We can start whenever you want.....
Kevin
P.S. Most important thing is fuse and cf to get started. CF can be any size of shape you want but keep in mind your looking to stiffen it by adding it.....
