I fly off a semi-maintained grass field. No one uses skirts. They are a nuisance. So are 'scale-sized' wheels on grass. Go naked, go big, or take it in the nose. Ditto! I have always just removed the skirts on all my planes as well, my club field has some knarly grass! I expect to recieve my Cub This Wednesday the 11th, I sure hope the wheels are large enough to handle the grass! I dont want to add any weight if at all possible, anyone here have any problems with the stock wheels on grass? A little up elevator until some speed is gained on take off with a tail dragger usually solves this problem, but dang those wheels do look small in the Horizon hobby pics lol!

On stock wheels, landing on grass is very tricky. Even on short cut grass.
I tried and tried, and thinking I was just being a newbie got myself convinced I'd never land this plane well.
Then I bought 63mm foam wheels, next landing stuck.
