Thanks all again. I'm going to take a close look at the propshaft, which has not been crashed since replaced a few months ago. Might spend another £10 just to satisfy my curiosity that this is infact the cause.
Thanks iandhunt for the offer but I'm quite certain it's not the motor or ESC, definitely the propshaft or gear housing.
Onwards and upwards....

I got the prop shaft and gear housing on the motor....trying to off load it. Just cover shipping. Still interested please message me.
