Hey guys, Im pretty new here, but I was wondering what would be a good upgrade from the stock battery that comes with the (supercub) plane? Im getting mine in 13 days,(yes I'm counting the days lol), and I would just like to know what would be a good choice. I've seen so many different batteries and sizes and everything else that I am completely lost haha. Thanks in advance

I use the stock 1300 3S and a Tenergy 1350 3S, but I don't have much faith in either. I've had very good luck with custom packs from www.cheapbatterypacks.com , although he doesn't always have a ton of inventory of his house-brand Elite packs. I have a pair of 2S Elite packs for my crawler and a really old Elite 2200 3S that I use in the TX. The physical size is going to be your main limitation, unless you mod your battery box. The stock 1300 mAh LiPo is roughly 3-3/4" x 2-3/8" x 7/8". The Tenergy 1350 is about 1/16" longer, which is enough to make it hard to install. I actually modified the box slightly to get the stock battery to fit well.

The box was originally designed for 7-cell NiMh. There are entire threads along the lines of "How do I get my battery in the box?!?"
They did nothing to make that POS better for the customer when they 'upgraded'.

The original SC was powered by a 7-cell NiMh battery. A while back they started shipping them with LiPo batteries (hence the "LP" in the name), which are not exactly the same size. They didn't change the area in the plane where the battery goes, so it's a tight fit for the stock LiPo battery.
There's some battery box mod examples around the site. I didn't have to do much to make mine fit better.
