If your LIPO battery is a tight fit in the battery box of your SC LP you might find my post on strengthening the battery box helpful.

I made a little for more room for the battery length wise in the battery box as my Turnigy 1300 3cell LiPos were slightly longer than the stock HZ battery and would not fit. You don't have to do the strengthening mod (although most of the experienced guys recommend it) you can just increase the battery space for the battery.
